Project Goals & Objectives
IDEA - PROJECT GOALS
- Strengthening, expanding, and aligning bachelor's programs taught in German in the field of Mechanical Engineering, by integrating digital technologies, promoting intercultural education, and developing sustainable collaborations between academic institutions and the industrial partner.
- The project will contribute to improving the technical skills and language abilities of students, as well as the teaching competencies of academic staff. It will support the development of an intercultural framework and facilitate the integration of a flexible educational system based on Education 5.0 standards.
- The industrial partner will support the development of the curricula by providing relevant industry perspectives and will help integrate industrial projects into the educational process. Collaboration with industry will ensure the relevance and applicability of training for students, facilitating their integration into the labor market.
Project Objectives
Our key objectives focus on developing digital platforms, promoting interculturality, implementing soft landing concepts, and aligning study programs across partner universities.

Development of thematic modules and integration of digital learning platforms to enhance technical and language skills of students and teaching staff:
- Development of innovative learning platforms and educational resources for technical subjects taught in foreign languages.
- Creation of a 'Virtual Teacher' that will support the teaching activities of academic staff and the learning of students.
- Developing specific educational modules for disciplines within the curriculum.
- Improving German language skills for students enrolled in the bachelor's programs taught in German.
- Organizing "Intensive Academy" sessions for academic staff training and "Language Café" sessions for students.

Promotion of Interculturality:
- Organizing activities and workshops to encourage knowledge and understanding of the culture and history of partner countries, including through mobility programs between participating academic institutions.
- Creating an intercultural educational environment that supports the development of intercultural communication skills.

Implementation of the Soft Landing Concept:
- Developing a "Landing Guide" for students and teachers participating in academic exchanges, facilitating their integration into the host country.
- Creating an "Integration Checklist" for students, including procedures for enrollment, administrative registration, and integration into the local community.

Alignment of Compatible Study Programs at Partner Universities through a Matrix Approach:
- Calibrating the curriculum to ensure alignment of fundamental, domain-specific, and specialized disciplines between partner institutions.
- Developing a system for participation in joint courses or courses with similar content between partner universities, facilitating mutual credit recognition.
- Establishing a common framework for the recognition and equivalence of ECTS credits.
